About The Yard

The Yard is a specially designed weight loss and fitness class that will push your cardio and improve your endurance with sprint based training and other functional movements for maximum efficiency of body mass.

Class Time Frame:
  • 60 Minutes
  • Work time – 30 minutes
Maximum Number Of People:
  • 18 people
Class Level:
  • Open to all fitness levels – Strongman & HIIT
Class Structure:
  • The class set up is broken down into 3 separate stations – 6 people max per station
  • One of the stations will be dedicated to skill and learning movement required for the
    workout
  • One station will be dedicated to HIIT working at max effort concentrating on cardio
    sprint work and another functional movement
  • One station will be incorporating the movements learned in the technique station
    and using them at high intensity
  • Each one of them will be for 8-9 and can be an EMOM or AMRAP as required

Extra The Yard Information

Start the class with coach explaining the instruction on the board and demonstrate all the movements by assistant coach and follow with stretching, warm up and demos to take 30 minutes.

3 x 8/9 min periods of work in am AMRAP or EMOM style.

1st station should be at low intensity learning the lifts and technique for the 2nd station.

The 2nd station will be incorporating the lifts learnt in the 1 st station and then stating 3 will be a
HIIT cardio/sprint based workout.

Once each group of clients have been through all three stations then the session is complete leaving the warm down and stretching to be completed by the assistant coach.

  • AMRAP ( as many rounds or reps as possible)
  • EMOM ( every minute on the minute )
